Sour Springs Longhouse

Followers practise the teachings of Handsome Lake here. The ceremonies are conducted according to his influence. There are two main clan groupings: the Turtle and the Wolf. They are brothers and sisters and any other group are cousins. In some ceremony's the men sit on one side of the longhouse and the women on the other. Sometimes its sorted by clans. Each side, or clan may open with a speaker and a speaker from the other side or clan near.
